The Executive Lock Pick Set is a 16-Piece set that covers a variety of lock types and ensures you have the exact tool for the lock you’re working with. It’s our number one recommendation for someone just starting out but it’s a pick set you can grow into as well.
Why do we like it?
Different locks work better with different picks. One lock may “rake” open easy, while another requires focused single pin picking. (If these terms are foreign to you, read our Guide to Lock Picking.)
Because of this, it’s important to have a variety of picks in your toolbox and the Executive set offers 12 individual picks, as well as 2 tension tools, a broken key extractor and even a clear plastic practice padlock. Despite the large quantity of picks though, the set still fits neatly into a pocket or bag using the included soft carrying case. Please note that the clear practice lock includes a keeper pin at the back of the keyway which doesn't need to be picked for the lock to open. It just keeps the cylinder in place.
